As a hobby I have scultped various
oriental figurines, mostly to do with martial arts.
The figurines are firstly sculpted
in a wax clay, a mould is then made which will in turn make the resin figurines.
(All moulding and resin figurines are cast elsewhere).
Once a resin figurine has been
cast, it is fettled (rough bits removed) and any chips repaired using Milliput
(a two part clay which dries rock hard).
Finally the figurine is painted
using enamel paints and then sprayed with a matt varnish.
Extra Items:-
i.e..
Swords, scabbards, headdresses,
shinai are sculpted by myself and cast in white metal (elsewhere), then I
fettle and paint them.
